Mooresville teacher is a Discovery Education winner

Roseann Burklow, a fifth grade science teacher at Mooresville Intermediate School, was recently honored with a “DENny Award” by Discovery Education’s Discovery Educator Network (DEN) for her “leadership in integrating digital resources into instruction to transform teaching and learning around the world.”

Burklow is in her 31st year of teaching, 13 of those in the Mooresville Graded School District. She began implementing the Discovery Education Science Techbook in her science classes during the 2011-12 school year.
