Mooresville is getting a new major business.
Altendorf Group America, Inc., announced on Thursday that the company’s new American headquarters will be in Mooresville, according to a news release.
The company is headquartered in Minden, Germany. It specializes in a wide range of tools for manual operations in the woodworking industry and is known for its sliding table saws, which its founder invented in 1906, according to a release.
The company’s 7,079 square-foot space is located in Lakefield Corporate Center, at 319 Oates Road in Mooresville. It will house Altendorf’s management team and will include a warehouse and a showroom for all the company’s products.
This is part of a reorganization of the company’s America business operations.
Altendorf acquired Hebrock in April of last year, adding its edge-banding machines to its line of products.
“We want to be, first and foremost, the contact partner for distributors in the United States. We
also want to impress distributors with our product quality and services” said Victor Cortes,
managing director of the Altendorf Group America, in a news release. “The Altendorf brand is well-known and in demand in the US. This becomes very clear every time we speak with potential sales partners. We’re glad to offer Hebrock edge band machines which perfectly meet the technical requirements of our American customers.”
The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance was instrumental in bringing Altendorf to the region, according to the release.
