The Mooresville Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with the robbery of the First Citizens Bank on Medical Park Road Monday.

A man came into the bank around 2:20 p.m. and passed a note to a bank representative demanding cash. A weapon was not displayed, a news release from the Mooresville Police Department stated. Employees compiled the demands and the man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-9 inches tall and wearing camouflage pants, a red hooded sweatshirt and oversized sunglasses.

He left on foot headed towards the Dairy Queen.

He was seen getting into an aqua/green/blue car, possible an older Toyota Avalon and the vehicle was last seen traveling towards Fairview Road on N.C. 115. The vehicle was driven by another person. The vehicle had damage to the right front quarter panel, five-star rims and a temporary South Carolina dealership tag.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle is asked to contact Detective Crow with the Mooresville Police Department at 704-664-3311.
