Ginger Marie Hall

A Statesville woman is accused of stealing jewelry and a pistol after arranging to purchase items online.

Ginger Marie Hall, 38, of Old Mountain Road, was charged with the following felonies: larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for use of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possession of Schedule IV (Clonazepam) substance, larceny and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $60,000 by a magistrate.

Iredell Sheriff Darren Campbell, in a press release, gave the following account of the events leading up to Hall’s arrest:

On Saturday, a jewelry box was rifled through and pistol stolen from a home on Kendra Drive near Mooresville.

The man told deputies he was selling property online and had been in contact with a woman interested in buying some items. An arrangement was made for her to come to his home and get the items, and she arrived with a man. The woman asked to use the restroom and was allowed into the house.

The woman and man loaded a piece of furniture into a vehicle and left and the homeowner then noticed a jewelry box had been rifled through and a pistol was also missing.

The woman was identified as Hall, who has a criminal history of charges such as breaking and entering, first-degree burglary, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny and is currently on active probation.

While deputies were taking the report, a call about a suspicious vehicle was received on Little Creek Road and the vehicle description matched that given by the Kendra Drive victim. The responding deputy found the vehicle and saw a black pistol in plain view. The pistol matched the description of the one stolen from Kendra Drive.

A search warrant was secured and the truck searched. The pistol was confirmed to be the one taken and several items of jewelry were also recovered. Cocaine and various drug paraphernalia items were also located.

No one was in the vehicle but deputies received information on Hall’s whereabouts and a traffic stop was set up in the area. She was taken into custody without incident.
