A woman on federal probation was arrested for distributing crystal methamphetamine, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.
Rhiannon Nicole Forest, 36, of Porter Lane, was charged with three counts possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine and received a $60,000 bond from a magistrate.
Campbell, in the news release, indicated narcotics investigators and deputies from the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team (ACE) followed up on information indicating Forest was distributing crystal meth in the community. He said investigators were familiar with Forest because of a similar investigation in 2016.
In 2016, undercover investigators bought crystal meth directly from Forest, Campbell said. She was charged and later convicted in U.S Western District Court.
She received early release and returned to Iredell County, Campbell said.
Investigators again began to buy crystal meth from Forest and her federal probation officer was informed, Campbell said.
As a result, the three felony charges were filed Tuesday, Campbell said.
He said narcotics investigators are working with federal probation officers and the U.S. Attorney’s Office on this arrest.
Forest’s criminal history includes felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen goods, larceny and possession of Schedule II.
