A Hickory man was recently served outstanding warrants for drug trafficking and failure to appear in court.
Ryan Hope Hughes, 37, was charged Thursday with felony selling/delivering a Schedule I controlled substance, selling/delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a Schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor failure to appear.
He received a $50,000 bond.
Capt. Bill Hamby with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Hughes was identified as a suspect in an earlier drug roundup.
Warrants state that Hughes sold .014 ounces of heroin and .017 ounces of methamphetamine to undercover officers in late February.
The warrants state that Hughes failed to appear in court May 2 for misdemeanor simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.
State records show that he has a criminal history involving larceny, post-release revocation, speeding to elude arrest and DWI.
