The Mooresville Town Board of Commissioners will consider a $1.1 million contract to design-build a new police station.
The contract will be voted on at the meeting Monday. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Mooresville Town Hall, 413 N. Main St.
If approved, Balfour-Beatty Construction LLC will design and produce construction documents for a new police station. The $1,191,000 contract also includes delivery of a guaranteed maximum price to build.
The board will also conduct several public hearings related to zoning issues.
Rick Howard has submitted a request for a conditional use permit for properties on Alcove Road. The plan is to allow two eight-story buildings on the site.
JRN Investments LLC is requesting a conditional use permit for property at 448 Langtree Road to allow a six-story condo building. The request concerns the additional height only.
A public hearing will be held to consider a rezoning request for 11.57 acres at 715 River Highway from Single Family Residential to Corridor Mixed Use. This will allow for commercial uses on the property.
A public hearing is also set concerning a zoning establishment request from the Town of Mooresville for property on Ervin Road. This is to establish zoning from Iredell County, Residential Agriculture to Town, Single Family Residential. The Iredell County Board of Commissioners approved the release of jurisdiction at the Sept. 17 meeting.
