Clutch Valentine's

The morning Clutch Coffee Bar team at the Plaza Drive location were decked out in their red and Valentine's Day apparel. They are, kneeling (from left) co-owner, John Anderson and C.J. Noblezada; standing (from left) Luke Maxson, Sherilyn Campbell, Evanny Sanchez and Sam Crone.

On Valentine’s Day, Clutch Coffee Bar was not only serving its customers coffee, but it was serving the community at the same time. Named “Clutch Love Day” by co-owners John Anderson and Darren Spicer, the group was showing love to the community by donating all proceeds from that particular day to the Mooresville Soup Kitchen.

As of 9 a.m. on Thursday, Anderson noted that both locations had been busy.

“Lots of people have turned out,” he said. “It’s fun to be able to serve our customers and help others.”

And, the Clutch Coffee team kept on brewing and serving until 9 p.m. that evening, raising, between proceeds and cash donations, $541.50 for the local soup kitchen.

“Today was a huge success, and we are so appreciative of the community supporting our cause,” said Spicer. “Today was even busier than expected, and it’s rewarding for us to spread some Clutch Love on Valentine’s Day!”
