9-11 MEMORIAL WALK
The Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman and the town of Mooresville will hold a silent memorial walk.
WHEN: Today (Sept. 11), 8:45 a.m.
WHERE: Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St.
WHAT’S THE DEAL? Participants will line up and walk toward the park at the corner of Main Street and McLelland Avenue. A short wreath-laying ceremony will follow the walk with remarks from various individuals. The public is invited.
TOO MUCH SYLVIA
The summer concert series, Langtree Live, will feature Too Much Sylvia.
WHEN: Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
WHERE: LangTree Lake Norman, 401 Langtree Road.
WHAT’S THE DEAL? From Jimi Hendrix to Bruno Mars, Too Much Sylvia will provide an evening of music and fun. Admission is free. Bring blankets or chairs.
ANNUAL BIKE, CAR AND TRUCK SHOW
The Second Annual Cruise-In for a Cause will benefit veterans.
WHEN: Saturday, noon until.
WHERE: VFW Post 2031, 139 Jordan Lane, Statesville.
WHAT’S THE DEAL? The cruise-in will feature live music, food, drinks, raffles and vendors as well as trucks, cars and bikes. All trucks, cars and bikes are welcome. Entry fee per vehicle is $20 and trophies will be presented in each class. For more information call 704-873-9126.
The Mooresville Public Library will host a special program in honor of Constitution Day.

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Bring bells to ring at the flag pole, listen to local dignitaries read the preamble to the Constitution and watch a short program on the patio.
Community Baptist Church will host a fall festival.

WHAT’S THE DEAL? There will be food, crafts, games, face painting, an inflatable slide, dunking booth, petting zoo, hay rides and more. The public is invited.
