An overview of the Mooresville Graded School District’s 2019-20 summer program plan will be presented at the Board of Education meeting.
The board meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Mooresville Town Hall, 413 N. Main St.
The board will also hear reports on facilities and construction, instruction, business services, human resources, public communications and from Superintendent Stephen Mauney.
The spotlight on people segment of the meeting will highlight Timothy McLendon from Mooresville High School as the N.C. Forestry Association products essay winner; Leanne Rose, Park View Elementary, the beginning teacher of the year; Above and Beyond the Call of Duty award to Sylvia Martinez, executive administrative assistant to the superintendent/board clerk; and Artist of the Month, Scarlett Moore, second grade at South Elementary.
The third graders from South will also lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board will also hear the first reading on several board policies and consider approval of an audit contract.
