MOORESVILLE Ronnie Alexander Freeze, 79, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Mooresville, to the late Mary Hartsell Sherrill and Hoyle Freeze. Mr. Freeze was a graduate of Central High School in Mooresville. He was employed with Cascade Mills, Draymore, Templon-Chemspun, Reeves Brothers, and retired from McGuire Nuclear Station. As a young boy he attended Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Mooresville, where he was a Boy Scout and was baptized. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. Mr. Freeze was an avid Elvis fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert B. Hall; sister, Patsy Leonard; and brother, Roscoe Freeze. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Lambert Freeze; children, Michelle Freeze, Ryan Freeze (Brenda), Nicole Freeze Whitehead (Jon); sister, Carol Ann Lodin; grandchildren, Madison and Lindsy Whitehead, Ashley, Arron and Kayla Freeze; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Peyton Freeze. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 25, at Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville, with the Rev. Larry Beaver officiating. Burial will follow the service at Willow Valley Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
