MOORESVILLE Robert "Bob" Lee Harvey, 74, of 194 Canterbury Place Rd., Mooresville, passed away, with peace in Christ, at his home late Monday night, May 6, 2019. He was born in Lansing, Mich., March 18, 1945, to the late Arnold Lawrence and Bertha Ziegler Harvey and moved around the Midwest frequently with his two brothers and five sisters. Bob graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1963. He graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He was a member of their 1964 National Championship football team and a brother of the Alphi Psi chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Bob continued his love of football by volunteering with the Mooresville Blue Devil football program as a scout and assistant coach. He was also an avid golfer, hunter, fisher, softball and baseball player. Bob worked mostly in manufacturing management and moved from several states before settling his family in Mooresville. He was one of the first employees to open the Fleetwood Mobile Homes in the early 1980s. Bob married Brenda Titus in West Mansfield, Ohio May 17, 1969, after meeting at Rockwell Manufacturing in Bellefontaine, Ohio and a whirlwind romance. She survives along with their daughter, Laura (husband, John) Stout; grandson, John Robert Stout, of Naperville, Ill.; and sisters, Mary Ann Fiscus of Imperial, Pa., Nancy Harvey of Calabasas, Calif., Joan (Jim) Rendinell of Newport Richey, Fla., and Janet (Rich) Gronczwwski of Angola, Ind., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alizabeth Sue; brothers, Richard (Dick), John (Jack); and sister, Jane (Betty) Stephens. There will not be a formal memorial service, but rather smaller gatherings with family and friends to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations to your local Hospice or the Hospice & Palliative of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
