MOORESVILLE Edgar Willis Keller, 96, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at his home. He was born June 24, 1923, in Kannapolis, to the late Robert Lee Keller and Ida Meadows Keller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Elaine Chavis; sister, Eleanor Keller; and brothers, Marman and Bob Keller. Ed worked as a loom fixer for Burlington Industries for over 40 years before his retirement. He loved talking about the Bible and was an active Jehovah's Witness until his death. He loved farming and growing tomatoes that he shared with everyone. He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Betty Jo Gordon Keller; children, Shirley Dominguez (Juan), Jerry Keller, Ronnie Keller (Sandra), Donald Keller and Ricky Keller (Leisa); sisters, Thelma Hobbs and Joyce Wright; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, August 3, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Cal Eckler officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.
