Wade "Bud" Davidson Overcash Jr. MOORESVILLE Wade "Bud" Davidson Overcash Jr., 87, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born on June 2, 1932, in Iredell County, to the late Wade Davidson Overcash and Sadie Kennerly Overcash. Mr. Overcash loved his family. He loved driving through the country and sharing old memories. He loved country music, classical cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan; especially Bill Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Jowers; grandson, Darrell "J.R." Overcash; sisters, Louise "Sandy" Miller and Carolyn Brown; and brother, Hugh Overcash. He is survived by his children, Wade D. Overcash III and wife, Maritta, Dean Overcash and Sandra, Doug Overcash and wife, Vonn, Darrell Overcash, and Lisa Eakes; former wife, Phyllis Ervin Overcash; sister, Frances Davis; brother, Robert Overcash; grandchildren, Davy Overcash and wife, Mika, Dalton Overcash and Kimberly, William Craven, Doug Bailes and Stacy, Mason Overcash and wife, Alliah, Nikki Cales and husband, Reno, Ashley Keyes and husband, Jonathon, Kelly Overcash and Brett, Dwane Overcash, Calin Jowers, Cash Jowers, Blake Eakes, Alex Eakes and wife, T'elgin; and seven great-grandchildren. The family received friends Saturday, Jan. 25 from 10 to 11 a.m., with a graveside service following at 11:30 a.m., at Glenwood Memorial Park in Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Overcash family.
