STATESVILLE Joanne Helen Pearce Triplett, 80, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born July 9, 1938, in Medford, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Anna Mae Hupfer Pearce. Joanne retired from Lake Norman Reality where she was a real estate broker. She was a wonderful mother, a leader and a business woman who always reached out a hand to help others even when hers were already full. Joanne is survived by two sons: William Triplett and wife, Amy, of Puerto Vallarto, Mexico, Timothy Triplett and fiancée, Anisa, of Atlanta, Ga.; and a daughter, Michelle Triplett Selvey and husband, Adam, of Statesville; three granddaughters: Emma Selvey, Sydney Wilcox and Sara Triplett; two grandsons: Timothy Triplett and Patrick Wilcox; two sisters: Patricia P. Lally of Southborough, Mass., and Claire P. Keene of Mattapoisett, Mass.; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., today (Sunday, July 7), in the chapel at Troutman Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Mullis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service from 3 to 4 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home; and further receiving at the Selvey home, 372 Baymount Dr. in Statesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 1088, Davidson, NC 28036.
