Mooresville Blue Devils baseball

Members of the Mooresville High School baseball team acknowledge their arrival into the sixth and final round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A class playoffs as the program’s first-time contender for a state championship crown. 

The 4A state baseball championship game scheduled for Friday night has been postponed.

With rain and storm watches in the area of the game, which was to be played at 5 p.m. at UNC-Greensboro, officials opted to move the game to 11 a.m. on Saturday. The second game of the potential three-game series, will be played later Saturday. A full schedule is not yet available.

Mooresville, the 4A West Region champion, is playing East Region champion Corinth Holders for the state title. Mooresville is seeking its first state championship in baseball.
