Well armed. That fact became obvious once again courtesy of Mooresville High School football quarterback Hunter DeBerardino. The senior second-season starter threw four touchdown passes covering distances, in order, of 46, 23, 22 and 10 yards, respectively, to a pair of different receivers to help steer the Blue Devils to a key 28-7 win over I-Meck Conference foe West Charlotte. The productivity also served to up DeBerardino’s total number of TD tosses for the season to 15 as well. The effort coming complete with a 12-of-18 completion ratio worth a total of 247 yards and the four scores additionally supported his selection as the school’s athlete of the week. Making the personalized plaque presentation is Ben Goins Jr., with yearlong program sponsor Randy Marion Automotive.
