The Mooresville-based Lake Norman Tennis Center will be among the two sites hosting competition involving women and men tennis players to determine some of the area’s best on the court.
LNTC will make its on-campus facilities available for play in the fall season segment of Terri’s Tennis Ladder serving to crown champions in a number of divisions. With action heating up beginning over the course of the upcoming extended Labor Day holiday weekend, registration for prospective participants is hitting its fevered pitch.
All interested must enter by Monday’s deadline.
Terri’s Tennis Ladder is a year-round league for players of all experience. The fall season is one of four taking place throughout the year. Play will take place lasting 8-10 weeks with a playoff tournament being held at the conclusion.
The program offers singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions. Players with various degrees of experience will be matched up against opponent with similar matching playing experience.
As a result of the competition taking the shape of an activity generator, points will be awarded for each challenge match played. The ladder standings chance constantly on a regular basis.
Top placing individual and doubles teams within each of the divisions will qualify for the season-ending playoffs.
Cost of participating is $25 each for singles play and $20 per player for the doubles portion.
At the end of the regular season, finalists and champions in each division from each of the four seasons will be invited to compete again each other for overall outright bragging rights.
In addition, the grand winner of each division will earn free registration for the following year of play as well.
The t Lake Norman Tennis Center features five indoor cushioned courts, three outdoor hard courts and six outdoor clay courts for use in the upcoming competition.
