The Robins are number one.

On Feb. 23, the One United All-Stars’ Robins competitive cheer team went up against nine other Senior Small Level 3 D2 teams and earned an At-Large big to compete at the D2 Summit, which will be held at Disney World in May.

During the Cheersport competition, which was held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga., the Robins “Hit Zero!” both days – meaning no stunts were dropped and nothing hit the floor.

For their hard work and dedication, the team won first place in their division and became National Champions. The girls and their coaches won jackets, medals and a trophy along with the bid to compete further.

In addition to competitive cheering, the gym, which is located at 155 Rolling Hill Road in Mooresville, also teaches competitive tumbling and student Quaderra “Q” Parks, also won first place in competition held Feb. 22. Quaderra competed against 17 other contestants from all over the country in “So You Think You Can Tumble” claiming the first prize.
