The Iredell County Board of Commissioners recently voted in favor of adding more than $126 million in school bonds to the primary election ballot in March.

The bonds include $115,500,000 for Iredell-Statesville and Mooresville-Graded School Districts and $10,500,000 in community college bonds for Mitchell Community College.

Residents need information in order to make an informed decision when voting.

Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Mooresville Graded School District have scheduled a series of informational meetings to answer questions concerning the potential bonds.

The primary voting will be March 3.

Here is a look at where and when the meetings will be:


Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Park View Elementary School, 6:30 p.m., 217 W. McNeely Ave., Mooresville.

Thursday, Jan. 30 at Mooresville Intermediate School, 6:30 p.m., 1438 Coddle Creek Highway, Mooresville.

Thursday, Feb. 6 at both South Elementary, 839 S. Magnolia St., and Mooresville Middle, 233 Kistler Farm Road, Mooresville.

Thursday, Feb. 20 at East Mooresville Intermediate School, 1711 Landis Highway, Mooresville.
