More than a dozen military veterans walked 22 miles carrying 22-pound backpacks Saturday to raise awareness of veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. The 22 represents the number of veterans believed to die of suicide in the U.S. on a daily basis. The “Let’s Save One Ruck March,” organized by the Charlotte Veterans Alliance, began at Richard’s Coffee Shop and Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum in Mooresville, and ended in Concord.
